I use tests to measure your ability to integrate difficult material in a high-pressure setting. This is NOT the only way to demonstrate excellence! Some students find tests exhilarating, and others do their best work in a different environment. All of these different styles are blended into a comprehensive picture of student accomplishments.

When students struggle to perform well on tests, I like to help them find out why, in hopes that they will get better at taking tests. It is inevitable that they will be tested on occasion, and they can learn some skills to maximize their chances of success. A complete Test Analysis is worth a 6% boost to your test score.

Requirements for Test Analysis

• List all of the "forced choice" questions you got wrong. Put them into categories by topic. Did you miss more than one question on the same topic? Identify it, and see why you struggled with this topic.
  • Did you practice the Quia exercises?
  • Did you know the vocabulary words?
  • Did you get two ideas backwards?
  • Do you see anything else you could have done to improve your results?
• Using the same list, figure out what went wrong.
  • Did you miss more than one of the same kind of question?
  • Did you miss the word NOT or EXCEPT?
  • Did you get part of the right answer, but miss the rest?
  • Do you see anything else about the type of questions that trip you up?
• Look at your essay answers.
  • Did you clearly answer the question?
  • Did you make inaccurate statements?
  • Did you explain which Core Concept was relevant to the question?
  • Did you explain how you reached the right conclusion?
  • Did you offer examples to illustrate your point?
  • DId you offer extra information that would educate your reader?

You can put these answers in any format that works for you, and submit it to me before the announced deadline!
